Looking for Property in Greenwich? Get to Know the Place

If you are new to the London scene, and currently looking for property in Greenwich, then you just hit a good spot to find your answers. This article is about to convince you just how beautiful Greenwich is. Whether you’re investing in owning a place to lease out, or looking to live in the area, it’s always a good idea to learn more about it.

Greenwich is located in London and is (unofficially) divided into East and West Greenwich. Given this, it is known to be where the Eastern and Western hemispheres meet. Without further ado, here are a few things you may want to know:

People and Homes

As you explore Greenwich, you will notice that the housing in the area is similar all throughout. A good number of lavishly beautiful homes will catch your attention as you stroll through town. Although the general population is composed mostly of families, there is also a good percentage of young professionals who live in the area. The presence of young professionals may be the reason why some of the homes you come across are transformed into self-contained one-bedroom flats. Further out of the center towards Deptford and Lewisham, you will notice massive developments of newer apartments.

However, since Greenwich is known to be an area predominantly accommodated by families, you should expect prices to be slightly higher – most flats start at the average amount of £400 a month.

Social Life

It is necessary to reiterate that Greenwich is a family-friendly town. Greenwich is perfect if you’re looking for a laid-back, quiet and peaceful area. The choice you have for pubs and clubs in its town center is quite limited given that it’s quite small. The upside to this is, when you find yourself in a pub, they have affordable drinks, and a younger crowd to immerse yourself in. However, if you are looking for a louder scene with great music to dance to, you can catch a bus or a train to central London, which is excellent as it doesn’t take you more than an hour to reach.

Daytime Strolls and Activities

Greenwich is known for its peaceful environment, which is the reason why it is always the perfect place to spend a day outdoors. What the area lacks in pubs and clubs, is made up for with its parks. Greenwich Park is the place to be on that sunny day out. It is abundant with trees; it has rolling slopes, a playground, a small rowboat pond for children, the Royal Observatory, tennis courts, and even a deer reserve! And it doesn’t stop there – but what more could you ask for?

Greenwich and Cutty Sark are the two stations you’ll find in the area. These railways can lead you to Charing Cross, or Cannon Street where you can find a good number of tourist attractions. When you take a five-minute walk away from these stations, you can catch the Docklands Light Railway (DLR), which can take you to the Docklands, Bank, or Stratford stations.

There you have it! If you’re looking to decide on owning a property in Greenwich, you’ve already got a glimpse of this beautiful city.…
